Aus SpodCon export prices dropping
The realised export prices for Australian SpodCon shipments continued to fall in January, rapidly catching up with the Chinese spot price. Realised prices were only US$1223/t, a huge drop considering they reached US$3122/t in September 2023. There remains quite a significant differentiation between the prices realised for various operations, with operations shipping out of Port Hedland (Pilgangoora, Wodgina) attaining premium prices, while those shipping from Esperance (Mt Marion, Mt Cattlin, Bald Hill) are receiving the lowest prices.
