China’s April EV data is key
China’s EV sales bounced in March after a weak Feb but we’re really waiting for the April data to see what is the impact of the Chinese subsidy cut. How much Chinese EV sales are impacted will effectively determine whether 2019 is a treading water year or another year of growth for EV demand. European EV sales growth hit its highest rate since April 2018 and Tesla Model 3 deliveries but US sales growth was at its lowest since early-2016.
