Jervois into the strategic acquisition game
Jervois Mining (ASX:JRV) catapulted back into the forefront of the battery materials sector this month with the announcement that it is to acquire the Freeport Cobalt refining business from Lundin Mining (TSX:LUN) for US$160m. Jervois secured a US$100m bond offering and announced a A$313m (US$230m) equity raise to fund the acquisition, as well as construction of its Idaho Cobalt project in the US.
