That’s what the data seem to suggest anyway. SMM data suggests that cell output, which has been expanding every month since February may have plateaued in May and into June. Could this be the end of the mid-season restocking event? We fear it is. Anode Materials production seems to be taking a pause, as is ternary and LFP cathode output and, if that’s the case, it could easily explain the weakness in lithium prices over the last few weeks.
