Canada steals a march on US/Europe in EV supply chain
We’ve noted on many occasions that Canada has some of the best battery raw materials resources in the world, including nickel, copper, graphite and lithium, we had noted that it made sense for Canada to invest in the midstream as well. And it seemed that many agreed. March has seen two major CAM project announcements; General Motors (NYSE:GM) announced a US$400m plant in Bécancour, Quebec, a JV with Posco Chemical (KRX:003670). The plant is likely to be located close to Nouveau Monde’s (TSXV:NOU) anode materials plant, which could potentially provide synergies for any cellmaker which wanted to site cell production...
