Cell production falls off a cliff in Dec-Jan
The magnitude of the fall in Chinese cell production in December and January was substantial. It’s not difficult to miss the fall from output of 63.4GWh in November to 28.2GWh in January and the impacts of that fall have cascaded along the supply chain. However, with activity picking up, we believe that demand will recover for pCAM and CAM, and eventually for battery raw materials over the next few months.
