Charging infrastructure investment under-estimated
A report published by the European Federation for Transport and Environment suggests that the EU will need 1.3 million public charging points for EVs by 2025 and c.3 million by 2030. The investment would be sufficient to support the current policy scenario of 33 million EVs by 2030. Just to put things into context, there are currently 185,000 public charging points in the EU with only 9,600 fast chargers (excluding Norway and Switzerland).
