China ESS cell production on the up
There was a substantial acceleration in China ESS cell output in June, hitting a record level of 7.4GWh. As we’ve noted regularly in the review utility-scale ESS is taking off rapidly and we are seeing a switch from ternary ESS cells to LFP chemistry, which is allowing smaller cell makers to move into the space. All signs suggest that the increase in ESS cell output is set to continue.
