China forges ahead in EV sales; US/EU subdued
There was a substantial bifurcation in EV sales in August, with Chinese EV sales accelerating after July’s slowdown, but sales in both the US and Europe continuing to slow. It seems to be the global chip shortage which is causing the problems, with US and European OEMs struggling with output of both ICEs and EVs.
