China stocks to outperform
It’s fair to say that it’s been a difficult 2-3 years for Chinese battery raw materials producers, particularly lithium. They’ve underperformed even US stocks which have, in turn, underperformed the Australian-listed stocks by some distance. That underperformance looks to be at an end now. We believe that the Chinese stimulus, some of which is aimed at the equity markets, should support Chinese equity performance and we would suggest that the Chinese lithium sector may well outperform the rest of the world over the next several months.
