China’s cathode production recovers strongly
China’s cathode and precursor production bounced strongly in March, in both the LFP and ternary supply chains, although activity was still somewhat more robust in the LFP supply chain. LFP output bounced to 140Kt for the month bs 80Kt in February, an increase of 75% m/m, while ternary CAM output bounced to 62.7Kt in March from 47.1Kt in February, an increase of 33% m/m. Anecdotal data suggests that activity continues to be robust in the LFP supply chain in April and May where output continues to rise, good news for all the raw materials.
