China’s LFP cathode production exceeds ternary
China’s production of LFP cathode materials exceeded ternary cathode materials in March, according to data released by ICCSino. Demand for LFP materials has been very strong since H2/20, with demand reportedly exceeding supply. With the number of automakers now shifting to LFP battery solutions, especially for entry-level models, this is likely to continue. Anecdotal reports also suggest that ESS is a key factor in the acceleration of LFP demand.
