Chinese EV sales collapse m/m in February
Houston, we have a problem! China's EV sales collapsed 45% m/m in February. On a Jan-Feb basis they are still up 116% y/y so you may wonder why the concern? Primarily because China rolled back its EV subsidies quite substantially in March, which would also be expected to impact EV sales in the near-term. China is the engine of global EV sales so this could be significant for now. It's not an issue in the medium to longer term because (1) China is simply shifting the focus to longer-range vehicles and demand will return; (2) China is shifting its subsidies...
