Commodity price update: Cobalt and lithium finding a floor?
After bouncing strongly off the US$54,500/t level last month and ending around the US$64,000/t level there was a 3% fall in LME cobalt prices but in the context of the last three months that looks like a win! Chinese cobalt sulphate prices remained unchanged for the month and even though it looks likely that buyers have worked through their inventories, Metal Bulletin reported that tight credit lines, which are making it difficult for companies to access cash, could impact re-stocking.
