EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act a bit of a yawnfest
I spent one entire morning during March reading the European Commission’s draft Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) and Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) and that’s one morning in my life that I will never get back! Ninety four pages later I’m still none the wiser about how the EU plans to compete with the US’s IRA! In fact, I sort of get the idea that the EU is ready to surrender its position in the race to go electric. Certainly that seems to be what Germany thinks, given its renewed push to allow ICE vehicles utilising e-fuels post the 2035 cut-off....
