EVs now cheaper than ICEs in China
The rapid fall in cell prices and pack prices in the past 12 months is finally starting to have an impact on vehicle economics in the world’s largest auto market, according to BNEF. While, for many years, EV fans have had to justify EVs as a product with reference to cost of ownership over time, vehicle forecourt prices in China are now lower on average for EVs than ICEs for the first time.
