Feb Materials Round-up: Vanadium up, Nickel down
The lithium-ion value chain seemed to shrug off any impacts in the month of February caused by shutdowns in manufacturing capacity in China due to CoronaVirus, with most material prices flat and cobalt sulphate prices even rising for the month. The situation in base metals was less good. Even though metal prices bounced strongly in the first half of the month, they succumbed to weakness in the second half of the month driven by a Corona-induced sell-off.
