Geothermal lithium jumps into focus
First up was General Motors (NYSE:GM), which signed an agreement with Controlled Thermal Resources (CTR) which is developing the Hell’s Kitchen project in California. The first stage of the Hell’s Kitchen project is expected to start up in 2024. CTR has previously collaborated on the project with Lilac Solutions. In 2020, the first stage of the project was expected in 2023, and before that production was expected earlier as well, so it’s possible that further delays may occur. CTR’s website suggests that the project has a 15Mt LCE resource and potential to produce 300Ktpa of LCE via closed loop DLE....
