Ghanaian government to cap manganese ore exports
The Ghanaian government has introduced an annual ceiling on exports of manganese ores at 5Mtpa following a record output of ore of 5.9Mt in 2019. This is likely an effort by the Ghanaian government to attract greater investment in domestic processing capacity, as we have seen with many other governments, for instance Indonesia and Zambia.
