Global EV sales growth recovers in March
Global EV sales growth bounced 63% m/m in March aided by a strong showing by China as it put the Lunar New Year holidays behind it. Chinese EV sales growth remains robust and is up 35% y/y in Q1/24. PHEVs slightly lost market share, falling to 38% for the month as the higher number of units sold seemed to favour BEVs, and EV market penetration recovered to just over 35% from February’s 12 month low level.
