India and Brazil relax lithium rules; Zim royalty introduction
Brazil’s government has issued an executive order stating that Brazilian lithium exports no longer need to be approved by the Science & Technology Ministry’s nuclear energy committee, a reduction in bureaucracy which has been lauded by Brazil’s handful of lithium producers and developers. On the other side of the world, India is seeking to change its mining rules to allow private companies to extract lithium. It’s one of eight minerals that the government wants to be removed from a list that currently prohibits production by private companies.
