Jan European EV sales jump
European EV sales were at their highest level ever in January at 74,700 units, eclipsing December’s record and also higher than Chinese EV sales for the month, the first time that has happened since December 2016. Despite the shortages in batteries for some models, it looks likely that European EV sales are set for a bumper year in 2020 given the renewed focus on EVs due to the implementation of fines for failure to comply with CO2 limits by the European Union.
