Jan EV sales up big y/y
Global EV sales were up 113% y/y in January, despite falling substantially from December levels, in line with seasonal trends. This was primarily driven by strong activity in China, where nearly 173,000 units were sold, a 237% y/y increase compared to last year’s levels which were depressed by Covid. Easy comparison or not, this was still a huge number, beating all but two of last year’s monthly totals.
