Koreans stock up on Chinese graphite
With export restrictions on Chinese shipments of natural graphite and spherical graphite set to kick in in December, November saw a huge increase in exports of both flake and spherical grades. Flake exports rose 3x m/m to 23.5Kt, and spherical exports 3.7x m/m to 12.2Kt. Korea and Japan substantially increased their buying levels in flake graphite and Korea increased its shipments of spherical by over 6x for the month.
