Lazard publishes 2025 LCOE and LCOS report
Lazard has published the 18th edition of its LCOE report and the 10th version of its LCOS. While fascinating, one drawback on the report is that it only covers the US, unlike BNEFโs similar reports which are more global. Once again we see a fall in the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) for storage, which falls to US$93/MWh vs US$104 in 2024 and US$155 in 2023. For solar and storage the cost is in the range of US$50-131/MWh, down considerably from 2023, and clearly illustrates how solar+storage is now cheaper than many CCGT power systems.
