Lithium best performer, but that’s not saying much!

Lithium was the best performing materials segment in September; in fact, it was the only one in positive territory. We are concerned that October may be more of the same, or in fact all equity segments may fall in absolute terms. Hard Rock was the best-performing basket in September, up 2%. The best performer was Prospect Resources (ASX:PSC; up 23% in US$ terms), which benefited from the sale of its gold asset.
