More issues with lepidolite supply in China
Following issues in December around the environmental impact of Chinese lepidolite production, there have been additional disruptions in February after Beijing sent environmental officials to consider the situation in Yichun, a key hub for lepidolite production in the country. The area around Yichun accounts for 8-13% of global lithium supply, depending on whose analysis you listen to, although we would note that in terms of battery grade lithium supply, it’s probably lower than that amount… just sayin’!
