Prismatic batteries gain market share
Prismatic batteries continued to increase their market share in Q1/22, rising from 53% in 2021 to 64% in Q1/22. Pouch cell share fell to 21% from 26% and cylindrical rose from 16% to 21%. The growth in the prismatic format is mostly down to the growth in LFP batteries, which are mainly manufactured in prismatic formats.
