Sigma “Green Tailings” stokes DSO debate
Sigma Lithium’s (NASDAQ:SGML) disclosure that it had sent its first cargo of “Green Tailings” to Chinese partner Yahua has stoked the debate about the carbon impact of DSO material. Sigma alleges that its “Green Tailings” are chemical-free, but we note it still discloses Li2O contents of c.1%, in line with most DSO shipments of lithium-rich material.
