Spodumene conc. S/I ratio troughing
Our calculated Shipments/Inventory ratio for Western Australia spodumene concentrate looks close to troughing, suggesting that a recovery in spodumene concentrate prices could be as little as 6 months away. Given the substantial increase in demand for spodumene concentrate in the past 12-18 months, and the relatively low inventory levels at mines (less than 2 months of supply), we believe that any recovery in spodumene concentrate prices could be rapid.
