UN report highlights battery raw material shortage
A report by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has raised concerns about security of supply for key battery materials including lithium, natural graphite and cobalt. The report doesn’t differentiate between high purity manganese and manganese ores and concentrates and hence does not pick up on the supply risk of this key segment either.
