VC shortages play on LFP supply
Few have ever heard of the compound vinylene carbonate and up to this year that would have been understandable. But vinylene carbonate or VC is a key additive for the electrolytes used in LFP batteries. And it’s in shortage. Some of the reason for this is the massive resurgence of the LFP chemistry in China this year.
