Weak battery material equity performance in April
Despite global stock markets being up in April, it was a weak month for battery materials developers and producers. Worst performer was our BMR Vanadium equity basket, down 20%, as commodity prices continued their fall. Best performer was our BMR Brine Lithium equity basket, down only 1%. Lithium Power International (ASX:LPI) was a stand-out performer and no stocks had a particularly bad month. The Wesfarmers (ASX:WES) bid for Kidman Resources (ASX:KDR) came after month end so our BMR Hard Rock lithium basket was also weaker, while our BMR Cobalt and BMR REE equity baskets were down 7% and 8% respectively,...
