What do we expect in 2024?
OK, let’s not beat about the bush. We, like a number of our peers, got quite a lot of things wrong in 2023! After being broadly right on the sector between 2020 and 2022, it was a year for humility. But, having been an analyst for over 20 years, being wrong is something one gets used to. When trying to predict the future, you find that if you’re right more than 50% of the time, then you’re doing a good job. And you also find that you have to put failures behind you and just get on with the job....
