Why are we more positive than consensus on 2024 EV sales?
Seemingly everywhere we look at the moment there’s doom and gloom on the outlook for EV sales growth in 2024. A number of analyst and consultant reports are forecasting lower and even negative growth rates for 2024. But we’re not. In fact we’re forecasting 26% y/y growth in electric car sales for 2024, only slightly slower than last year’s 35% growth rate. And, given that we correctly forecast last year’s EV sales growth rate, we’re pretty happy with our 2024 forecast.
