Wireless battery management could be the future for EVs
In a move which is likely to disappoint copper bulls, General Motors (NYSE:GM) has suggested that it will rely on an “an almost completely wireless battery management system” for its upcoming e-car models. GM worked with Analog Devices (NASDAQ:ADI) on what it calls wBMS (wireless Battery Management System) in an effort to bring its Ultium EVs to the market faster by reducing development time for specific communications systems and reducing wiring requirements for separate models.
